the aztec culture was a very rich culture filled of the aztecs and the mexicans. there were two main classes in their culture, they were the nobility and the pili (nobility first). they also had slaves which were treated quite well, slaving was not hereditary meaning there children did not have to follow in their footsteps meaning they were a free person. also slaves couldn't also become a free person by either working it off or purchasing it. the mexica people of the aztecs had a compulsory education for each tribe regarding gender or culture class. the people of the aztecs were generally given a good education even though boys were given a wider one than the girls. girls were taught how to run a home, cook meals and how to raise their children and care for their family, they also learnt crafts such as pottery and how to economically run a home. boys were taught many other and different trades to girls like how to hunt and leadership. these children would be taught by teachers, priests, doctors or leaders of society, they would learn about the aztec culture, religion or trade skills depending on the gender. they were pretty free to choose their education and it looked like they chose a certain pathway. when girls were in their teens they would marry or stay in their temples to work, men would join the military or begin their trade or particular study they did. marriages were arranged very strongly tied to their religious beliefs.
